After nearly 17 years in a retail location, we opted for a residential studio is located in Orland Park, IL.  The studio address is Wehmeier Portraits, 14410 Raneys Lane, Orland Park, IL  60462.  

When you are ready to book your Senior session, we'll schedule a Discovery Call or studio visit with you and a parent.  The Discovery Call helps prepare you and us for your session. 

The session length will vary from 1.5-2 hours for a Classic Studio session or 2.5-3 hours for a Studio & Location Experience with Boomerang sessions lasting approximately 30 minutes.  Your ordering appointment is typically scheduled within a week of the session. Retouching, album proofing and product production take from 2-4 weeks.  

If your session includes and outdoor location, and the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule the entire session for another day or photograph the indoor session and reschedule the location portion. We’ll stay in communication and make the best decision together.

As a general rule, your outfits select the backgrounds. We always look to compliment backgrounds and locations to your wardrobe.

Absolutely! We encourage all of those! Activities cover much more than main stream school activities. Maybe it's dance, art, books, swimming, hockey, scouting or a work uniform.  If you want to include your car, makes sure it's clean. We will help you plan out what you might bring prior to your session.

Yes!  Every ordered image is retouched before being presented to you.  Retouching includes skin tone and color balance, skin softening, blemish and acne clean-up,  hair fly-aways, and teeth brightening.  We are happy to discuss other retouching requests you may have, artwork fees may apply. 

Once your session is complete we will arrange a time for all the decision makers to return to our studio to view and select your favorite images. At this appointment we craft and finalize your portrait order, so it is important to pick a time where all the decision makers are able to attend.

At Wehmeier Portraits, we believe in the permanence of high quality printed wall art, albums and prints. But we also want photos on our phones and for social media. So at Wehmeier Portraits, you get both, ultra high quality prints and finished artwork and phone resolution digitals. 

For over 25 years, Wehmeier Portraits has been based on quality. If it has our name on it, it must be perfect and made to last. The only way to maintain and control that quality is to limit who and how our work is printed. So we do all of our own printing and do not offer printable digital files. You will receive phone resolution digital images.

That totally depends on what you want. Some invest $500, some invest $2700.  But don't be surprised if you love them all and want to buy more.  

Payment at Wehmeier Portraits is broken up, making it easier to get what you want. Your session fee is due when you schedule your session date.  Your Ordering appointment is scheduled for about a week after the session.  At this appointment your order is placed and half of the balance is due when ordering, half upon delivery. If you need, we can break payments in to 3 or 4 for you.

The Storybook Album is ordered at the main session and held for additional images added from each Boomerang session.  Once the Boomerang sessions are complete and images selected, we'll produce your Storybook Album. 

We accept most payment options:  cash, check, credit/debit cards (visa, mastercard, discover, AMEX), and venmo. 

Probably not.  Many schools require you use the school contract photographer so the photos all look the same in the yearbook. However, you are able to choose when and whomever you prefer to photograph your Senior Session and purchase your finished artwork from.   You do not have to buy from the school option.  

If your school allows you to turn in your own photo, yes! We will take care of you and supply them with any photos they need. Just let us know if they have an specific requirement.

We have found that the school photographer/studio has a free Yearbook session or an at school option in the Fall.  Be sure to check with your school for these options.
